Synopsis: Assumed lost for decades, Summer Children was digitally restored in 2010 from the original negatives original music recordings. The restoration was overseen by the original cinematographer, Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC. The Deacons' songs were remastered from the 45's of several of their songs. Vilmos Zsigmond ( June 16, 1930 – January 1, 2016) an Academy Award (Close Encounters 1977) and Bafta Award (Deliverance 1972; Deer Hunter 1978) winning Cinematographer noted that the film, possibly his first after fleeing communist Hungary, was certainly among his best early work.
