About Us

Moxie Cinema is Springfield’s community-supported arthouse theater.

The Moxie is a premier non-profit independent movie theater, bringing the best in cinema to Springfield, Missouri since 2005.

We exist to enrich our community through film's power to engage, educate, and inspire. Yes, we show movies and sell tickets, but at our core, we exist to make our community a better place to live.

The Moxie Cinema is a dba of The Downtown Springfield Community Cinema, a nonprofit organization.

Visit us downtown at 305 South Campbell Avenue.

DIRECTIONS TO THE MOXIE CINEMA:

Our physical address is 305 S. Campbell Ave, Suite 101, Springfield, MO 65806

BUT... Our FRONT DOOR is actually on W. McDaniel St. So Google Maps will send you past the turn for The Moxie if you put our address in. EEK!

BUT... If you put 425 W. McDaniel St (our neighbor's address) into Google Maps, it'll take you right in front of our door! YAY!

AND... If you want to park in our ATTACHED FREE parking structure (Click to see on Google Maps), that entrance is actually just PAST The Moxie. If you're coming North on Campbell, right after you pass the theater, turn left at the light, and it'll take you straight into the structure. OK!

FOR GOOGLE MAPS... You can also Google Maps to the parking structure (Google calls it "McDaniel Street Parking - Free") by getting directions to 420 W College St, Springfield, MO 65806 and it should take you right into the entrance. YAY Again!

We have a door connecting us to the parking structure - if you park on the South side of the structure, take the South stairs and you'll see our side door at the bottom of the steps.
